Daily Scripture

Dec. 11, 2017

It is getting close to Christmas. You may be busy with family, friends, work or school. You may be desperately trying to stretch youbudget to cover the holidays. But in the middle of that you might be wondering who is really thinking about you. Jesus is.

Jeremiah 29:11     King James Version         11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Amplified Bible                  11 For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

In this passage God was letting Israel know that the enemy trying to destroy them was already a defeated foe.  He is telling us the same things.
We must live like we believe our God. Like we believe His word is reality, not what we see happening around us. Believing is Seeing.  Trust God first and see the situation change in your favor.
Isaiah 41:10-13
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
11 “See, all your angry enemies lie there,
    confused and humiliated.
Anyone who opposes you will die
    and come to nothing.
12 You will look in vain
for those who tried to conquer you.
Those who attack you
    will come to nothing.
13 For I hold you by your right hand—
    I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.
